Stylish lodge in the heart of Hwange National Park
Nehimba Lodge is located within an exclusive 17,000-hectare private concession in the northern part of Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe — a scenic transition zone between Mopane woodland and Kalahari sandveld. Its remote location offers guests a high degree of tranquility and exclusivity, far from the usual safari routes. Access is possible by air or by road (4x4 is not necessary), with a journey of 130 km from Victoria Falls to the Mbala Gate and a further 95 km through the park.
Accommodation at Nehimba Lodge
The lodge comprises nine spacious thatched chalets built on teakwood decks, blending harmoniously into the natural surroundings. Each chalet features an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and outdoor shower, a private veranda with unobstructed views of the waterhole, and power supplied by solar energy or generator. Alongside double and twin rooms, there are also two family units and a romantic honeymoon suite available. Additional comforts include Wi-Fi in the main area, a refreshing swimming pool, and a laundry service subject to weather conditions.
Activities and Excursions at Nehimba Lodge
Safari experiences here are varied and immersive, including guided game drives by day and night, walking safaris, wildlife viewing from a well-placed hide, as well as excursions to the picturesque Nehimba Springs or Mandavu Dam. Thanks to its location near a permanent water source, the lodge becomes a wildlife hotspot during the dry season, with large elephant herds frequently passing close to the chalets or visible from the pool deck.
With diverse vegetation and its exclusive concession status, guests enjoy an impressive variety of wildlife in a peaceful, private setting. Nehimba Lodge perfectly combines the comfort of stylish accommodation with the authenticity of the African bush, making it an ideal base for exploring Hwange National Park or as a complement to a visit to Victoria Falls.
