Small, affordable lodge south of Livingstone
Munga Eco Lodge is a small lodge located just south of the town of Livingstone in southern Zambia, managed by their owners, a Canadian-Zambian couple. The thatch roofed lodge is very well integrated in the natural environment and consists of just 5 chalets around a central dining area, bar, lounge and natural pool.
The restaurant offers a mixture of local and international meals, with ingredients which are partly grown organically on the property.
The chalets of Munga Eco Lodge are all bean shaped build, resembling the shape of an indigenous Acacia tree. They do have two beds, a bathroom, an outdoor lounge and a private courtyard with a platform for a sky-bed, so that guests can sleep under the stars. The Family Chalets sleeps up to 6 guests, consist of 2 or 3 bedrooms, all arranged around a private courtyard. They do have two bathrooms, an outdoor shower and a lounge. Wi-Fi is available on the whole property.
Guests can rent bicycles to explore the area and town. Munga Eco Lodge also offers birding tours and trips to Victoria Falls and the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park.
