The large and luxurious A'Zambezi River Lodge, part of the Rainbow Tourism Group, is nestled on the southern bank of the Zambezi River, Africa's fourth-longest river. Situated close to Zambezi National Park and just a few minutes' drive from the small town of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, the lodge offers convenient access to the region's main attractions. The famous Mosi-oa-Tunya (Victoria Falls) are only 7 km away, while Victoria Falls International Airport is approximately 20 km from the property.
Accommodation at A'Zambezi River Lodge
The spacious grounds are shaded by mature trees, manicured lawns and natural riverine vegetation, creating an attractive habitat where wildlife such as warthogs, impalas, monkeys and even hippos can frequently be seen, particularly during the evening and at night. To ensure the safety of both guests and wildlife, the swimming pool is covered after dark, as hippos often wander onto the lodge's lawns from the nearby river.
The lodge offers 87 guest rooms, comprising 81 rooms, four suites and two accessible rooms designed for guests with reduced mobility. Accommodation overlooks either the Zambezi River or the beautifully landscaped gardens and features air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, satellite television, a safe, tea and coffee-making facilities, a minibar, and an en-suite bathroom with both a bathtub and shower. The suites provide additional living space and enhanced amenities for an even more comfortable stay.
The social heart of the lodge is the award-winning Amulonga Restaurant, whose spacious riverside terrace offers beautiful views of the Zambezi. Guests can enjoy international cuisine alongside traditional African specialities, often accompanied by live music and cultural performances by local artists. Dining options are complemented by Sebastian's Restaurant, which serves dinner in a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the river. The Amulonga Bar and the Zambezi Cocktail Bar provide inviting settings to unwind with a drink by the water. Additional facilities include a large swimming pool with sun terrace, a curio shop, a beauty spa, conference facilities and an activity desk.
Activities and tours at A'Zambezi River Lodge
Thanks to its unique riverside location, A'Zambezi River Lodge is an excellent starting point for discovering the many natural and adventure experiences surrounding Victoria Falls. A complimentary shuttle service operates regularly between the lodge, Victoria Falls town centre and the entrance to the Victoria Falls Rainforest. Guests can arrange a wide variety of excursions directly through the lodge, including Zambezi River cruises, game drives in Zambezi National Park, guided tours of the falls, helicopter flights, white-water rafting, bungee jumping and a range of cultural experiences.
