Stylish retreat near Victoria Falls
The Batonka Guest Lodge is located in a quiet residential area of Victoria Falls, just a short distance from the world-famous Victoria Falls. The town centre and the entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site are approximately a 10 to 15-minute walk away, making the lodge an ideal base for sightseeing while also providing a peaceful retreat. Surrounded by beautifully maintained tropical gardens with mature trees, the property offers a tranquil setting that attracts a wide variety of birdlife.
Accommodation at Batonka Lodge
The lodge offers a total of 27 spacious guest rooms spread across two distinct areas of the property. Guests can choose between 16 Pool View Rooms with private terraces overlooking the swimming pool and 11 Garden View Rooms with terraces facing the lush gardens. Eight of the garden rooms are interleading, making them particularly suitable for families or friends travelling together. A separate section of the property, the Flame Lily Wing, features five Pool View Rooms, its own swimming pool, shaded relaxation areas and a dedicated dining space, making it ideal for small groups or guests seeking additional privacy. All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with an en-suite bathroom, television, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, a safe and complimentary Wi-Fi.
At the heart of the lodge are a spacious lounge, a covered veranda overlooking the gardens, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a bar and a small gift shop offering locally made crafts and Zimbabwean souvenirs. Two swimming pools provide the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Victoria Falls.
Activities and tours at Batonka Lodge
The lodge's Activities Desk can arrange virtually every excursion available in and around Victoria Falls. Popular experiences include guided tours of the Victoria Falls, scenic helicopter flights, sunset cruises on the Zambezi River, white-water rafting, bungee jumping, canopy tours and game drives in Zambezi National Park. Guests can also book birdwatching excursions, cultural village visits, rhino tracking experiences and wildlife safaris directly through the lodge. A complimentary scheduled shuttle service to Victoria Falls town centre makes it easy to explore the area's restaurants, shops and attractions.
