The family-owned hotel is part of the Palm Hospitality Group, whose history began with the opening of the renowned Ilala Lodge in 1991. Construction of the Palm River Hotel commenced in 2019, and the property welcomed its first guests in late 2021. The hotel features 73 elegant accommodations, including 60 Deluxe Rooms, two accessible Deluxe Rooms, two spacious two-bedroom Deluxe Suites, two Honeymoon Suites, three Executive Suites, one Presidential Suite, and the exclusive three-bedroom Palm River Villa. The villa offers a fully equipped kitchen, separate lounge and dining areas, a private swimming pool, and its own garden, making it an ideal choice for families or small groups travelling together.
At the heart of the hotel are its stylish shared spaces overlooking the Zambezi River. These include a restaurant with indoor and outdoor terraces, a bar, expansive landscaped gardens, an elegant infinity pool with river views, and several comfortable lounge areas designed for relaxation. Guests can also unwind in the hotel's spa, which offers a range of massages, aromatherapy treatments, and beauty therapies.
