Ursula’s Homestead is located within the Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve, approximately 15 minutes from the centre of Victoria Falls and the famous Victoria Falls themselves. The private reserve encompasses several thousand hectares of savannah and bushland and is home to the Big Five. The area is particularly important for the protection of the critically endangered black rhinoceros. It is one of the region’s intensively protected rhino areas and is safeguarded through anti-poaching measures as well as monitoring and conservation programmes.
Accommodation at Ursula's Homestead
The property has a total of four individual rooms, making it suitable for exclusive use by families or small groups. The rooms are arranged in a semicircle around the communal areas, with their private terraces facing the open landscape. This provides expansive views across the reserve, while wildlife such as giraffes and buffalo occasionally comes to the waterhole in front of the accommodation. The four units are offered as Twin or Master Chalets. Each chalet features a private terrace, spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fan, Wi-Fi, minibar, safe, and tea and coffee-making facilities. The rooms can be configured as double or twin accommodation as required, and some can accommodate an additional child. The Master Chalet features a satellite television in the central living area.
The communal areas include a lounge, restaurant and dining area, terrace, firepit and swimming pool. Due to its small size, the property has more the character of a private bush house than a traditional lodge. A member of staff assists with arranging excursions, and transfers to Victoria Falls are provided free of charge. Airport transfers are also available.
Activities and tours at Ursula's Homestead
Activities within the reserve include game drives, wildlife viewing, safaris and dedicated rhino viewing. Private vehicles are also available for game drives, while regular drives accommodate a maximum of ten guests. A range of activities can be arranged in the surrounding area, including guided bush walks, birdwatching, cultural excursions, helicopter flights, horseback riding and Zambezi river cruises.
