Livingstone Island Tour and "Devil's Swim" (Zambia)
The Livingstone Island Tour / Devil’s Swim is an adrenaline filled activity on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls, organized by activity operator Wild Horizons.
Livingstone Island is the biggest island on the edge of the Victoria Falls, between the Main Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. The Devil’s Pool is adjacent to Livingstone Island.

Livingstone Island and "Devil's Swim"
Guests need to bring along swimwear, comfortable clothes and walking shoes as well as sunscreen, swimming towel, hat, sunglasses and your camera. The Livingstone Island tours start at 12:15 in Livingstone, Zambia.
Guests are taken in a 5-minute boat trip to Livingstone Island and have the opportunity to discover the western side of the island. Guests will be given a guided tour, learning about the islands history from ancient times when it served as a sacrificial site to the present day and its World Heritage status.
Visitors are taken around and can view the "Main Falls". The view from here will be completely different to that of the Zimbabwean side of the canyon. Visitors then can swim in a pool on the edge of the Victoria Falls. In a once-of-a-lifetime experience, participants can sit in the Devils’ Pool on the edge of the Falls, gazing at Victoria Falls, as immense, turbulent waters flow just centimeters away. Wild Horizons have a 100% safety record.
This tour is only available during the months when the water level of the Zambezi is low, meaning from August to December. The tour is open to everybody, over the age of 12 years and the duration is about 2,5 hours. Children under the age of 12 are welcome to visit the island but are not allowed to swim in the pool.
